Time for us all to reflect on human frailty that brings us to the point of war. A respectful day with valuable lessons.
Lets pray for peace.

pauline: today, war and deaths are brought by thoughtless people and extremists.

Indeed the courage and fortitude of our veterans who are to be respected and to follow their examples.

Given the long history of war and regardless of how the human species believes that it has evolved over the centuries, one just has to believe that war is one of our character traits that cannot be discarded. That said, do you think that if every government in our world were ruled and controlled by women would there still be war? I have to think that there would be no more war.

bob: hoho...being a woman, I distrust our instincts. I believe there would be more wars...and trivial ones too!!! (Hm...the women would hate me for this!)

twilite, such an honest answer to bob's question. I fear no man nor woman can maintain peace for we are corrupted by power. It is my belief that our peace is a gift from on high and we need to call upon that higher force to guide our lives.

Sorry ladies. I have more faith in the sisterhood than you do. I have to believe that a change in sex as related to power and control would mean for a better world. Come on - you must admit that it would not be any worse than it is today Then again, every 28 days the you know what would probably hit the hormone fan and we'll all be toast.

Hmmm...hard to say. Women are thought to rule from emotion and the heart and perhaps are not power hungry but then, I've worked for some pretty brutal women! And women have some pretty wicked cat fights! Then, there's the PMS menopausal factor that may cause some to act irrationally! (I include myself in all this!)
