a robot that cooks

Read on China Daily that a retired professor in Beijing developed a robot chef.

Apparently the robot chef was able to prepare his favorite dishes: "...takes only a few minutes for the computer-based robot to cook a delicious meal for me with well-prepared foods, vegetables and meat," said Liu Changfa.

At least 200 persons from his community in Changping District of Beijing had tasted the food the robot chef whipped up and according to one..."food as delicious as that made (cooked?) by a well-trained chef".

What a convenient gadget to have when old and for those who dislike cooking or disabled. No matter, I'd rather cook up something for self...unless going into food and beverage business?!

They're likely expensive but where can I get one? I don't like cooking that much but like to eat! I'd better start saving up!

pauline: I believe you're asking for a housechore nanny.

If I should be in Beijing, I shall look him up to see if that can done! Cheerio!

But I am a housechore nanny! That needs to slip away if only for a few days to refresh, renew! Thanks for your thoughtful comment, its a mother-daughter thing...

pauline: appreciate your openness and honesty -- pardon me if I'd thought otherwise. I'm sure you were a daughter before, so...

In grade school teachers would say, "When you're older there will be robots to do all of the work. No one will have to be employed. Every day will be a vacation" I'm still waiting.

bob: Haha! Don't know if I welcome that day when the robot dawns...do all the work for me. I'd be bored stiff just on vacation!?!!
