pineapple

the fruit on its plant

Its flower eventually becomes the eye of the fruit which needs to be removed before eating.

The flesh of the fruit is juicy and yellow in color. If the fruit is not sufficiently ripe, it's very sour; when ripe is sweet. Its high acidity can cause the tongue to bleed.

There is the ornamental variety which the Chinese in Southeast Asia use for praying and to bring luck and fortune.

So very wonderful!!! Place an ornamental one for me please. Its beauty of nature is the rarest and purest form of prayer that could ever be.

Indeed! I cannot eat Pineapple anymore...It is too acidic for my entire mouth! But those flowers are stunning!

naomi: thank you. When I eat the fruit without salt rubbing on the slice (salt neutralises the acidity), my tongue will bleed. I like the taste of the fresh fruit...the can ones too.
