trying out

Cool. I manage to put the 3 photos together after the instruction given by Tabor. Thank you.

However upon viewing, these pics were not placed side by side in a row. Nonetheless, it's great.

Bananas is a tropical fruit. The wild bananas are found in Indo-Malaysian areas. Today bananas are cultivated in tropical and subtropical continents. The fruits are picked unripe (green) which have to be ripened (turns yellow) in the land of arrival.

It's a good source of fibre, potassium, and vitamin C. It has natural sugars: sucrose, fructose and glucose.

Bananas can be used for baking (banana cake), deep frying (fritters or goreng pisang)...these days, there is the banana crisps...(not that crispy though...)

I'd heard about banana beer in Africa...haven't tried or seen one...have you?

Hmmm, don't think I'd be mad keen on banana beer, but you reminded me how long it's been since I last had banana fritters - yum!

Love the pictures - I'd never seen bananas flowers before - they're pretty [though my daughter is standing next to me, saying they look 'funny' :-) ]

I still haven't got round that arranging of photos yet - had real fun trying on my head-shave blog - failed miserably! :-D

Twilite-I bet banana cake was invented when somebody tried to figure out what to do with over-ripe bananas. Brilliant!
Thanks for visiting too!

I was watching a documentary last week on prisons. A few of the prisoners got into a fight due in part to the copious amounts of bananna beer they had consumed. So yes, there is such a thing. And no, I'm not going to prison to try it! :)

Annelisa, when you're able to figure out how to put the pics in a row with captions included, please let me know.

I'm still trying to figure out how to put the calendar. Followed the instructions but...the calendar didn't show up on my blog!!! Confounding!

GR...banana cakes taste delicious but some are put off by black dashes in the cake (if you know what I'm saying).

Yes, baked with overly ripened bananas...instead of throwing that out...out came the recipe...brilliant indeed.

Bob: Certainly don't want you to do that! (smile)

Abigail, thanks. Cheerio.

I love banana cake with banana icing and I have a great recipe!
I throw over-ripe and rotten bananas in the freezer and make banana bread with them later.

Mother of invention: Thank you for the tip -- leaving "over-ripe and rotten bananas in the freezer and make banana bread with them later". Shall remember that when I next have a whole bunch of bananas.

Hiya Twilite - I'll spend an hour trying to work out your photo conundrum some time... I suspect you would make the first one left, second centered, and third right. Looking at them, though, they are too big to fit in a line, so you'd have to shrink them a bit. I believe you can do that with click-and-drag now?

The calendar issue? You copy the code they give, and paste it in the template... anywhere after the profile thingy... if you want me to be more specific, I'll try and do you a blog post on my 'how to link and other stuff' blog. :-)
